Skrillex, A-Trak and Diplo on EDM Takeovers at Billboard

Billboard's latest issue is featuring Skrillex (young kid making moves! his name is buzzing around on a bigger platform now, being nominated for five Grammy's), Diplo (The production mastermind behind MIA's "Paper Planes," recently, Wale and Big Sean's "Slight Work," Snoop's upcoming release, and a long list that's too long to...list. Occassionally known to wear a nice suit), and A-Trak (behind the ump tah ump tah "Barbara Streisand" phenomenon; one half of the group Duck Sauce) for changing the EDM game. There are seven Grammy nods between them.

This interview is showing what the power of the internet can do, and how labels are shook because the creators and artists, DJ's and the like, are taking things into their own hands. Interesting read.

Diplo: “I know one thing – the major labels, the A&Rs, are very frightened right now. They see that things are in our hands in a lot of ways.”
