NEW VIDEO: AARADHNA, "YOU DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE"
Aaradhna's album Treble & Reverb was a hit overseas, but now it's creating lots of buzz over here in the states. Here she is in her latest video, "You Don't Love Me Anymore," in which we follow her in the studio as she sings her big hit.
In general, the song is quite a misnomer for the amount of love she's been receiving for the album. She recently garnered six accolades at the Pacific Music Awards, including "APRA Best Pacific Song" for "Wake Up," and "Pasefika Proud Best Pacific Music Album" for Treble & Reverb. She has the most wins by any artist in the awards' nine-year history. --GB

It's that time of year that many have been waiting all year for. Summer! Time to run a muck on the beach, stay out later because it's hot, go and dance in the rain, party hearty, and have some fun. But no great outing starts without a great idea.
Here's one: This summer, as in every summer in NYC, there are a bunch of free concerts to suit your fancy. And GBSTL has got a list that will make you jump for joy. Check out if one of your faves is letting you in on a once in a lifetime event in the calendar below. Then, make sure to make your ears happy by scheduling around that!
More free concerts will be added to the calendar as line-ups are announced.
More free concerts will be added to the calendar as line-ups are announced.
Surely there's a few things you need to know:
--Don't get caught outside where you can just hear, but can't see the music! Each show requires you to get there at least an hour early, even more for morning televised shows.
--Take a flick if you can, but you might not be able to. Pay attention to each electronic policy specific to each show.
--Scope out the prospect for what you can bring and what you can't.
--Bring snacks.
--End times in the calendar are approximate.
--Check each individual site or their Twitter's for cancellations (weather etc).
--Have fun!

VIDEO: ARIANA GRANDE AND MAC MILLER PERFORM "THE WAY" ON JIMMY FALLON
Ariana Grande and Mac Miller performed "The Way" on Jimmy Fallon last Friday night, and she killed it. Consider the fact that she had a cold (she had a B-12 shot before the show!) and you'll see why she's the next superstar powerhouse.
Her Nickelodeon show Sam and Cat, with co-star Jennette McCurdy, has just started airing. She is now working on her debut on Universal Republic Records.
NEW VIDEO: MATEO, "HOW GOOD IS YOUR LOVE"
Signee to Interscope records, Mateo, drops his first VEVO video of epic proportions. It's called "How Good Is Your Love" and it's a great cinematographic clip about falling in love with a coworker at a minimum wage office job, starting off with Mateo getting clowned for dressing up too much at work (peanut gallery!), and then dreaming of a love affair with the girl past the cubicle.
Mateo is working on his debut, and with Kerry "Krucial" Brothers producing in his corner (he's at the end of the video), he's set for some high heights. Watch a part of his rise in the video above.--GB

VIDEO: TREVIN HUNTE "HALF OF ME" (RIHANNA COVER)
Here's a fitting song selection from someone who needs no introduction. For one, he was a finalist on one of the biggest television shows right now, The Voice. His name is Trevin Hunte, representing Queens, NY, and there is no doubt that he's got pipes. Here he is covering Rihanna's "Half Of Me," the first post on his new YouTube channel. Can't wait to hear his original stuff and where he'll take it. --GB

NEW MIXTAPE: NATALIE IMANI: "FAME OR LOVE"

Natalie Imani is back with a mixtape that's sure to tickle your R&B fancy.
It's called Fame or Love, and it's an age old question on the choice many successful people make on a daily basis. With covers and spins on "Started From the Bottom," by Drake, "Refill" by Elle Varner, and "Titanium," by David Guetta featuring Sia, Natalie lets the audience get familiar with her, then spins it with "Catching Feelings" feat. Q. Parker of 112, and "Bow Down," to the beat of Meek Mill's "Amen." Those looking for star potential won't be disappointed, either-- her soft wail in "The Road" will leave naysayers...well...silent.
Listen below.
NEW MUSIC: MELODIE NICHOLSON, "LABELS"
GBSTL artist to watch Melodie Nicholson dropped a new one recently, and it's entitled "Labels." It's a creative twist on relationship titles, and the confusion surrounding it all. Listen below.
NEW MIXTAPE: ELBEE THRIE, "53,000." UPDATED

After Elbee Thrie revealed the secrets to Phony Ppl on DJ Semtex's BBC 1xtra show, and promised a solo project, it was only a matter of time before fans of the Brooklyn soul collective Phony Ppl could hear a personal taste of the frontrunner and co-founder himself.
Elbee's project is called 53,000., and it's got a groove that you can feel in your toes. It's of course soulful, with slick lyrics and singing on love and relationships, and appearances from other Phony Ppl members Dyme-A-Duzin ("Yesterday's Lips") and Sheriff PJ ("FA Collab").
This tape dropped at 5:30 PM EST on 5/30/13, but it's good for a weekend listen. Let this hold you off until their next Phony Ppl album drop, which they are working on right now. Until then, catch them at their monthly summer residence at Brooklyn Bowl next date up being Wed, 6/5(this date has been cancelled).--GB
